Flora is an Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, registered with the UKCP. For the past 10 years, she has supported children, young people and families within NHS, local authority and school settings. She is highly skilled in building strong working alliances with the wider systems that surround her clients – be they at home, school or other networks.
Flora is experienced in working across a range of presenting problems, including single incident as well as developmental trauma, mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, low self-esteem, self-harm, suicidality, perfectionism, relationship issues, bullying and difficulties around eating.
Flora’s work incorporates techniques from several psychotherapeutic models. She takes a trauma informed approach which is shaped by Somatic Experiencing and the Neuro-sequential model. Flora’s work is client led and integrates a humanistic way of relating and psychodynamic thinking. She often uses creative tools such as play, paint and sand trays alongside talking to help her young clients make sense of their internal reality.
