Belinda Borries
BA, MA, MSc, C Psychol
Belinda is a Clinical Psychologist with 28 years of experience working in the NHS and the private sector. She has worked in Child and Adolescent and Adult services, in both community and inpatient settings and has extensive experience of providing individuals, couples and group therapy to people with a diversity of backgrounds and experience.
She is trained in and practised a broad range of treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy; Dialectical Behaviour Therapy; Interpersonal Psychotherapy; EMDR; Video Interaction Guidance; Mentalisation Based Therapy and Behavioural Couples Therapy.
Belinda has a special interest in the many challenges to mental health associated with the transition to parenthood and have specialist skills in the treatment of relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, trauma, and difficulties with emotional regulation. She is a clinical supervisor and occasional lecturer for the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme at Bath University.
As a clinician Belinda has an open, accepting, non-judgemental style and works collaboratively with her clients to tailor therapy to their unique needs and therapeutic goals.
